Opening the General Journal

You can use the General Journal to view details about your transactions, edit, delete and export existing transactions, or add adjusting entries.

  

Note: You do not need to use the General Journal to enter day-to-day transactions. In WorkingPoint, you enter day-to-day transactions using forms. The General Journal is for owners and accountants who prefer this method. Your bookkeeper or accountant might make adjusting entries to fix any account issues or record regular month-end or year-end entries. (To give your advisors access to your account to assist you with working with transactions, create a login for them (Click Settings, then click Manage All Users.)

To open the General Journal:

  1. Click the Accounts tab in the main navigation bar to open the Accounts List.

  2. From the Bookkeeping Links in the right sidebar, click General Journal.
