If you no longer sell or use an item, you can make it inactive. For example, suppose you created a special discount item for a promotion, but now you don’t want to offer that discount. You can mark it as inactive.
Making an item inactive does not delete it from your records, but hides it from lists. An inactive item will not appear as a line item choice on an invoice/quote or on your active Items List. This can be very useful if your Items List is long.
If you decide you want to use the item again, you can make the item active again.
To make an item inactive/active:
Click the Items tab to open the Items List.
Move the mouse point to the left of the item you want to make inactive/active. You’ll see this:
Uncheck the Active checkbox to make the item inactive or check the Active check box to make it active.
Click Save Changes.
