Copying a quote

You can copy an existing quote to save time. By copying a quote, you don’t have to re-enter the information on the new quote. For example, suppose you're sending out the same or similar quotes to several customers. You could create the first quote. Copy it. Then, you can make changes as needed, like changing the customer name or quantity ordered. When you make a copy, WorkingPoint assigns the next quote number in sequence.  

  

Note: WorkingPoint does not copy the history information.

To copy a quote:

  1. Click the Invoices tab to open the Invoices List.

  2. Open the quote you want to copy by clicking the link in the Invoice column.

  3. Click Copy Quote in the sidebar.

  4. To change the customer, click Change Customer beside the Customer look-up field. This will reset the customer look-up field and you can starting typing the new name to locate it in the list. As soon as you see the customer in the menu, click it. Or, click  to add a new customer on the fly.

  5. Make any changes, such as quantity or adding additional items.

  6. Click Save Quote.
