About quotes

You use quotes to describe a service or list products you propose to sell to a customer or prospective customer. Included in the quote are the estimated costs for the services or products.  WorkingPoint makes it easy to send the quote to your customer, who then decides whether or not to accept the quote.  Quotes are also referred to as estimates, bids, or proposals.

Quotes appear in the Invoices List with the status as “quote” and dashes in the Balance and Due columns.

You can edit an existing quote, for example, if the customer wants to modify it. You can estimate when you think the quote will be accepted and forecast upcoming sales with the Sales Pipeline report. After a customer accepts the quote, you can easily turn it into an invoice. You can also copy an invoice to create a similar quote for another customer or repeat quote for the same customer.
