Editing and deleting an inventory adjustment

You can change an adjustment you've made to your inventory if you entered the incorrect quantity, or you can delete an adjustment, for example, if you entered an increase when you should have entered a decrease.

To edit/delete an inventory adjustment:

  1. Click the Items tab to open the Items List.

  2. In the sidebar, click Inventory Items to narrow the list to show only items you track inventory for.

  1. Locate the item and click the item's name to see its details.

  2. In the Item Activity section, move the pointer over the adjustment you want to edit. You’ll see this:

  1. Click Edit, or click the Trashcan to delete.

  2. When editing, make the changes and click Save Changes.

Note: If you change the date of an inventory adjustment, WorkingPoint recalculates the quantity on hand and the weighted average cost of all subsequent transactions, as needed. If changing the date results in the Available Quantity being less than zero, WorkingPoint displays an error message and you won’t be able to save the changes.
